Leadership Development

A fundamental commitment of CSPL is the intentional focus on tapping into and developing the innate leadership capacities and gifts of our grassroots members. We believe that every person has the fundamental right and responsibility to be engaged in civic and democratic life and to work for the Common Good, as the Catholic Social Teaching tradition emphasizes. Therefore, we organize a variety of leadership trainings in Chicago throughout the year to provide opportunities for parish leaders, students and community residents to tap into their potential and join a movement for establishing the Reign of God and working for the common good. CSPL’s leadership trainings provide grassroots leaders with the resources to effectively organize for social change in a manner that is deeply rooted in and inspired by the Catholic spiritual and theological traditions.
