Bio:
Sr. Brenda Eagan, IBVM, is a member of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her community is in the final stages of merging with the Congregation of Jesus, returning to their historical roots as Mary Ward women.
Her ministry journey has spanned social work, campus ministry, peer counseling, pastoral associate, administrator, service learning, spiritual director, liturgical and gospel choir, fundraiser, and now podcasting—in the second season of Love&SpeakTruth Podcast. She has used homily-dramas to bring Gospel stories to life and enjoys creative outlets to bring the word of God to life.
Sr. Brenda served for eight years as a Consultor in Institute Leadership in Rome, Italy. (A significant learning, one must leave home to be transformed as neighbor, friend and leader.) Upon returning to the U.S., she became Director of Mission and Ministry, fostering prayer, reflection, service, and community building. She remains committed to justice, care, and advocacy for the people of God on the journey.
