March to May Day
Join the CSPL delegation as we join hands with ICIRR and celebrate May Day - International Labor Day! International Workers' Day commemorates the fight for an eight-hour workday that took place right here in Chicago. This global labor holiday was established after the 1886 Chicago Haymarket Affair, where protesters died during demonstrations demanding worker protections and "Eight hours for work, eight hours for rest, and eight hours for what you will" -- the slogan of the eight-hour workday movement.
This May Day we are asking you to join us once again to take the streets, demand an end to ICE’s terror, and show that the people are more powerful than those in power.
