Illinois Childcare for All Coalition secures $7M investment in compensation for early childcare educators!

On Tuesday, May 13, CSPL was among the supporting organizations for a press conference with Brandon Johnson, hosted by the Illinois Childcare for all Coalition.

During the conference, Mayor Johnson announced a $7M city investment to increase compensation for early childhood professionals, who currently have an average income of $35,000 — far lower than typical Chicago Public Schools salaries. The Mayor’s investment will bring an estimated 3,000 workers closer to pay parity within the early learning workforce, benefiting 86 early learning providers across Chicago.

We are proud to be part of the Illinois Childcare for All Coalition, in partnership with the below organizations! CSPL is recognized during minute 25 of the press conference recording from Forbes Breaking News.
