Judge rules ICE must let religious leaders into Illinois facility for Ash Wednesday
CSPL and many sisters and clergy involved in our work filed the lawsuit in November 2025, alleging that immigration authorities had unlawfully blocked its members for months from providing pastoral care at an ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois. The ruling provides clergy access to the facility for Ash Wednesday and beyond.
